Who We Are
- The official name of our organization is Shelburne Association Supporting Inclusion; however we like to refer ourselves as “SASI”.
- We offer vocational services, residential services and Supported Living assistance to over 60 adults with intellectual and mental health disabilities. Our staff of over 60 employees includes our management team, support and administrative staff as well as summer/co-operative students.
- We encourage volunteers and students to assist with our programs and are always trying to build on partnership with other community organizations.
- We are thankful for continued partnership with our communities in helping us provide employment opportunities for our clients.
- Our Board of Directors consists of 7 dedicated members who meet on a bi-monthly basis. Our Annual General Meeting takes place in spring/early summer each year. Our board is committed to ensuring that SASI’s vision will continue to be supporting our clients.
- Shelburne Association Supporting Inclusion is an active member in three provincial organizations/agencies. On the vocational side of things we are a member of DirectioNS Council for Vocational Services Society. On the residential side, we are a member of the Nova Scotia Residential Agencies Association. We also are members, and actively participate in the Canadian Mental Health Association-Yarmouth, Digby, Shelburne Branch.
